Rocky grew up in Lansing Michigan with her mother and older brother. She was always messing with the family camera, recording anything and everything. Growing older she found herself enrolled in Saturday art workshops at Michigan State University. Leading into high school where she attended a trade school for half of the school day, Capital Area Career Center was where she was taught the true rules about photography, film, music and graphic design.

In 2015, she was accepted into College for Creative Studies, in Detroit for Graphic Design. After 1 year in that program, she made the obvious decision to switch into the Film program. Throughout college, she worked in CCS’s marketing department as a junior designer, assisting with event shoots, faculty videos, alumni stories and campus videos. Even creating a vlog series to show incoming CCS students what Detroit has to offer.

Summer of 2018, Rocky interned with one of Quicken Loans companies, Woodward Original. While interning with their video team, she learned about the entire creative process of professional projects are handled in a creative industry level setting.

Now in 2022, Rocky is a College for Creative Studies graduate with a BFA in Film, and has started navigating the film industry as a freelance videographer and editor. Rocky has filmed and created content for numerous businesses and brands, including DIOP, GETTES, Flowers for Dreams, filmed 9 weddings, 1 amazing music festival called Movement for 4 years in a row and still continues to do freelance work for College For Creative Studies.

She is strongly influenced by music and a real view of the world and its people. I enjoy creating documentary style work, along with experimental meaningful stories that often incorporating vivid colors throughout.
